# Introduction

> Save web content directly to Google NotebookLM with a single click

Web Clipper for NotebookLM is a Chrome extension that lets you save web content directly to Google NotebookLM with a single click.

Instead of copying text, switching tabs, and pasting into NotebookLM manually, you can clip articles, research papers, and web pages right from your browser — and they'll appear as sources in your notebook, ready for AI-powered analysis.

## Who it's for

* **Students** researching topics across multiple sources
* **Academics** collecting papers from Google Scholar, arXiv, or ResearchGate
* **Curious minds** building reference libraries for projects

## What you can do

* Clip any webpage as a source in NotebookLM
* Use contextual "Add to NotebookLM" buttons on supported academic sites
* Choose which notebook to save to before clipping
* Manage your notebooks and sources — create, rename, or delete them without leaving your browser

## How it works

The extension detects when you're logged into NotebookLM, then lets you send page content directly to your notebooks using Google's platform. No data passes through third-party servers — everything stays between your browser and Google.
