Before you start

Make sure you’re logged into a Google account in your browser.

Add a page

  1. Navigate to any webpage you want to save
  2. Click the Web Clipper icon in your toolbar
  3. Select a notebook from the dropdown (or create a new one)
  4. Click Add Page to Source
That’s it — your page is now a source in NotebookLM, ready for AI-powered analysis.

What happens next

Once added, you can:
  • Ask NotebookLM questions about the content
  • Combine it with other sources for deeper research
  • Generate summaries, study guides, or FAQs

Tips for your first clips

  • Articles and blog posts work great — clean text content clips well
  • YouTube videos have a contextual “Add to NotebookLM” button right on the page
  • Complex pages with lots of interactive elements may clip partially — stick to content-heavy pages for best results
