With Web Clipper for NotebookLM installed, you can add all videos from a YouTube playlist to your notebook. Playlists are already organized by topic, making them ideal for structured learning and research.

How it works

There are two ways to add a playlist, depending on where you are on YouTube.

Add from the playlist page

  1. Navigate to the YouTube playlist page
  2. Click the Add to NotebookLM button next to the playlist title (near the Play All button)
  3. Select an existing notebook from the modal, or create a new one
  4. The modal closes and a confirmation notification appears

Add from a video

When watching a video that’s part of a playlist, you can add the entire playlist from the sidebar.
  1. Locate the playlist sidebar on the right side of the video
  2. Click the Web Clipper for NotebookLM button (icon-only) at the top of the playlist
  3. Select an existing notebook from the modal, or create a new one
  4. The modal closes and a confirmation notification appears
All videos from the playlist are now sources in NotebookLM, ready for AI-powered analysis.
The number of sources you can add to a notebook depends on your NotebookLM plan.

What you can do with playlist sources

Once added, NotebookLM can:
  • Turn curated playlists into personalized learning courses
  • Generate audio overviews that summarize hours of content into a conversational podcast
  • Create quizzes and study materials from video transcripts
  • Compare perspectives from different creators on the same topic
